FS50 Wrapstrip

GREENTECH HEATSHIELD FS50 Wrapstrip is designed to restrict the spread of fire and smoke from one compartment to another where plastic pipes and cables penetrate separating walls and floors.

GREENTECH HEATSHIELD FS50 Wrapstrip is a flexible, heat reactive graphite based intumescent material and is supplied in a convenient sized 50mm wide roll which is easily cut to the required length and wrapped around the pipe or cable to be sealed. FS50 Wrapstrip remains flexible and easy to use in low temperature environments.

• Comprehensively tested and assessed by independent authorities in accordance with BS EN 1366-3 2021, and BS EN 13501- 2: 2007 + A1: 2009 for up to 2 Hours fire resistance.

How do HEATSHIELD FS50 Wrapstrip work?

When exposed to heat, the graphite based intumescent material activates and expands, exerting a high pressure on the softening plastic pipe or cable sheathing, thereby causing the opening to be sealed off and preventing the spread of fire and hot gases from one compartment to another.
