S550 Premium Fire Stop Sealant

GREENTECH HEATSHIELD S550 Premium Intumescent Fire Stop Sealant is designed to restrict the spread of fire and smoke from one compartment to another where electrical and mechanical services penetrate through fire rated separating walls and floors. It can be used to protect linear gap seals and designed construction joints (discontinuities) in concrete walls and floors for up to 4Hrs.

GREENTECH HEATSHIELD S550 is a water based Premium Acrylic Intumescent sealant with excellent flexibility, movement and adhesion properties. Tested and certified in accordance with BS EN 1366-3:2021, BS EN 1366-4:2021, and other international standards, S550 is a resilient, versatile and cost effective solution for a wide range of fire stop requirements.

How does HEATSHIELD S550 Fire Stop Sealant work?

When exposed to elevated temperatures of a fire situation, the intumescent material contained in the S550 activates and expands to seal gaps and voids around degrading services and this prevents the spread of fire and hot gases from one compartment to another.
